Current Project:
My Frayed Edges
This work delves into the realm of communal healing and sentimentality derived from fabric/textile objects. Through this, I am drawing inspiration from the ancient Celtic tradition of 'clootie wells,' where healing was sought by hanging a soaked cloth on a tree next to a well, as it rotted away, it’s owner was healed. These clootie strips circle back to the fragile nature of cloth mirroring our own fragility, fostering a sentimental connection with material.
